Excel is the puppy that I kept from Strive’s litter. He is sweet, cuddly, and goofy, and I adore him.

He’s taught me how important life skills are for performance dogs, and much of his first couple of years was spent focused on being calm around other dogs, loose-leash walking, and being comfortable in his crate. Excel has also taught me the importance of clear criteria and reward markers and how that reduces frustration. He is exceptionally intelligent and consistently strives to excel in everything he does.

Excel earned the AKC Rally Championship, the Beginner Novice title, multiple agility titles, the Dock Dog Senior title, and the Canine Good Citizen Advanced title.

Excel has become particularly attached to my youngest daughter, and through 4-H, they have earned many Grand and Reserve Championships together in obedience, rally, agility, and showmanship.

Excel loves spending time with my daughter, especially cuddling and playing fetch. I’m grateful for their relationship and the many lessons he is teaching her. I look forward to watching where their journey takes them.

Train, Practice, and Play in a Comfortable, Professional Space!

Looking for a safe, spacious, and fully equipped facility to train or practice with your dog? The Golden Paws Dog Training facility is designed with both dogs and handlers in mind. Whether you’re polishing competition skills, working privately with a friend, or hosting an event, you’ll love our clean, comfortable, and professional space.

Indoor Training Space

Our 3,200-square-foot training area is fully matted with ¾-inch thick specialty flooring that provides superior shock absorption and joint protection for both dogs and people. The space is heated in the winter and stays cool in the summer, ensuring a comfortable environment year-round.

Additional amenities include:

Bathroom, large entry room, and crate room for convenience
Refrigerator and microwave for snacks or lunches
Stereo system and large-screen TV for presentations or video review

Outdoor Agility Field

In addition to the indoor space, renters have access to our 13,200 square-foot fenced outdoor agility field—perfect for practicing sequences or running full courses in a safe, secure environment.

Additional amenities include access to the building for:

Bathroom, large entry room, and crate room for convenience
Refrigerator and microwave for snacks or lunches
Stereo system and large-screen TV for presentations or video review

Equipment Available

Your rental includes access to a full range of high-quality equipment, including:

Full set of competition agility equipment
Complete Rally signs and equipment
Variety of training props and platforms for dogs of all sizes

Rental Policies

Facility rentals are available to current clients or by appointment after meeting with Nicole. All dogs using the facility must be up-to-date on vaccinations and under the handler’s control at all times. Please leave the building clean and ready for the next team.

There is a large potty area to the west of the building and another across the driveway down by the creek. Please pick up after your dogs.
